  • For $595 every semester, UniversityMD will match your student with a vetted physician near campus, who they’ll see throughout college, and guarantee they’ll get an appointment within 24 hours, where they’ll be required to use their private health insurance. All visits will be subject to the physician’s standard billing procedures and members will be responsible for any copays.

  • No, a student is eligible to become a UniversityMD member at any point in their collegiate career.

  • University health clinics are often great resources for students, but they usually have long wait times and high turnover rates. UniversityMD guarantees students will be seen by their personal doctor that day.

  • Currently, UniversityMD serves students enrolled at the University of Alabama, the University of Texas, Texas A&M, the University of Michigan, and the University of Georgia. Please contact us if you are interested in concierge medical care in your student’s college town.

Appointments

  • Your personal UMD physician will arrange for a different doctor to provide coverage while they are away.

  • Yes. On certain occasions, telemedicine will be available. Experienced physicians will almost always prefer an in-person patient evaluation, but sometimes a student’s busy schedule can make an office visit difficult.

  • You will be immediately placed with your UMD physician upon enrollment, and your information will be sent to their clinic. After that, you can schedule appointments with the clinic on an as-needed basis.

  • Yes, UMD-affiliated physicians offer medication management, including prescription refills.

Membership, Insurance, and Taxes

  • $595 per semester.
